The Vernon & District Metis Association is pleased to be hosting an Estate Planning information night. We spend so much of our daily lives focusing on living. Obtaining life goals, surviving hardships, celebrating, and navigating the ever-changing environments in politics, technology, and mother earth. Rarely do we slow down to think about what we will leave behind when it’s our time to die. Just the word “die” or “death” can bring anxiety and avoidance because of fear of the unknown.
This workshop is to help people see the importance of estate planning, the risks of leaving things unplanned or poorly planned. What it takes to administer an Estate from start to finish. What is Power of Attorney and Personal Health Directive? What are the benefits of a Trust, and can I write my own Will? Are just a few topics that will be covered.
